I find running a business more difficult than being a manager employed in a corporation. Although the two are quite similar, the difference lies in the income risk that the business can fail. Sometimes I get something from the business and at other times I don’t. On the other hand, being an employed manager gives a fixed income any time of the year.

I am happy that I decided to get into this real estate business. I am not born with the right business skills – I learned these from a mentor. It was challenging, but once that I sealed the deal then it gets to be an additional passive income for me.

I am trying a new business right now. I’ve had successful business before and this one is the third one that I like to have. I really want this latest business running so that it can sustain me well when the first two businesses yield less profit at off-season times.

I’m happy to make the jump to businesses after my long years of employment. For one, it gives me flexibility of time and second, I get to name that business under my name. I can just work at the hours that I like without worrying about getting late at work.

One of the difficult things that I handle in business is managing people. For a new business owner who has no experience dealing with subordinates this could be a difficult task. That was really my problem at first, but then I researched and found ways on how to deal with such people.

I have several food cart businesses – I just started out from the first one and when I was getting enough profit from it, I started out with the next and so on. It was a business that I really like and I would probably attribute my success because of my deep interest in the product.

I am into business a few years now and I like what I am doing. Although I’ve encountered so many mistakes in the beginning, this did not deter me from stopping in what I’m doing. I concentrated more on what the customer needed which made me succeed in what I do.

When I do business, I consider my customers as my boss. These customers pay me for my services and considering them as my bosses can turn these into repeat customers for me. And what I like about repeat customers is the steady income that I would be receiving from them.

Leading businesses seem to have the knack of making successful businesses. It was not pure luck or inborn talent as I believed it previously, but many learned it from the right people who are also successful in businesses. So I decided to find the right mentor for me so that I could get started with my business ventures.

Running a business was not easy at first for me. I was overwhelmed by the different skills that I need to develop with it. For one, managing people is something that I had to learn because as the business grows it is not practical to be working on the business all by myself. I need the help of others. As of now, I am happy with what I learned in some of the trainings that I’d undergone.  Yes,  the managerial aspect of business is very important.
