Understanding Networking Better
I bumped into an article about networking and tried my best to understand a little bit further, to add some knowledge to my think tank. According to experts, network diagnostics
too can run the basis tests your networking system: it verify HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP connectivity, check DNS and gateway settings and functionality, validate IP configuration, verify wireless functionality and check network adapter issues. Then if it is the case then what can it do to solve problems? Still, according to experts the network diagnostic tool uses four level of repair automation to solve networking problems. 1. Automatic repair automation is only used when the repair is both easily automated and safe to perform automatically. An example is flushing the Address Resolution (ARP) cache. 2. Approval repair automation is used when the repair can be automated but where it could cause configuration issues. You’re prompted for approval before the repair is performed. An example is changing from static IP addresses to automatic DHCP generated addresses. 3. Manual repair automation is used whenever the steps can’t be automated, usually because external hardware is involved. An example is restarting your router or modem. And, 4. Contact Support repair automation is used when the tool can’t easily identify the issue or point directly to the correction. In these cases, the generated log file will help support personnel. These things seems to be alien for ordinary users of computers but for IT experts, knowing and understanding these things about networking can help them solve many networking problems.
Also, with the integration of netflow, they can better analyze what is going on the network system they are maintaining. It helps them to interpret data and manage the networking system of a company even better. Hmmm, difficult things to understand, but still good to know to learn.
